About ScaleLabs
One studio, one point of contact.
No big team and no agency apparatus, just one person who builds everything himself and therefore knows what he's talking about.
I'm David, founder of ScaleLabs Studio. I develop websites and run online marketing and social media, from the first sketch to the finished presence and beyond.
Working solo isn't a stopgap until "real" employees arrive. It's a deliberate choice. When a project passes through five pairs of hands, too much gets lost along the way, mostly context and speed. With me, the same person who takes the job on is the one who plans and builds it. What you discuss with me is what ends up being built.
I'd much rather you call me with a question you think is stupid than spend three weeks guessing.
It also means I only take on a few projects at a time. A presence that's supposed to sell needs real attention, and you can't spread that across twenty clients. In return you get messages from the person actually working on your site, rather than status updates out of a ticket system.
Professionally, I'm at home where design, tech and marketing meet. A beautiful website nobody finds is worth as little as a well-ranked one that convinces nobody. Both have to fit together, and that's easier when one person holds the whole picture.
I work from Geretsried, just south of Munich, for clients who care more about what gets built than how big the office behind it is. If that suits you, get in touch.
What you get
Short paths, straight answers.
A direct line
You message me and I answer you. There's no hotline and no ticket system in between.
Everything from one mind
Design, tech and marketing have to fit together. That happens by itself when one person plans the whole thing.
Straight answers
If something isn't working or you don't need something, I'll tell you. Even when I'd earn money from it.
Full attention
Few projects at a time, done properly. Yours doesn't run on the side.
How I work
What you can count on.
Understand first, build second
I don't start with design, I start with questions: Who are your customers? What earns you your money? What exactly should the website do? Only once that's clear do I start building. Otherwise it just turns out pretty and ineffective.
Plain language, no jargon
You don't need to know what a CMS or a conversion rate is. That's my job. I explain things so that you can make a good decision.
Deadlines that hold
I give realistic deadlines and I keep them. I still won't push anything live half-finished just because the calendar says so. My name is on your website too.
How a project runs with me
Getting to know each other
You tell me where you are and where you want to go, I listen and ask questions. By the end you'll know whether and how I can help. There's nothing I need to sell you along the way.
Plan & fixed price
I send you a concrete proposal: what gets done, what it costs and when it's finished. The price I quote is the price you pay.
Execution
I build, write and set up. You see work in progress instead of only the finished result, and your feedback goes straight to the person doing the work.
Growth
After launch I measure what works and keep adjusting. You see what changed in numbers.
Let's get to know each other.
We talk, you tell me what's going on, I give you an honest assessment. What you do with it is up to you.
